We are a Native-led nonprofit in Rapid City, SD, that is meeting the needs of the people and building a community of resilient and powerful relatives.
Wambli Ska has been successful in paving the way for innovative programs in the community and securing important collaborations with community leaders, peer organizations, and social service partners.
Our Programs & Services
Teen Center
Our center provides a safe, supportive, and healthy environment for youth. We share spiritual guidance and offer mentorship, education, and service opportunities.
Oyate Court
We facilitate a juvenile and young adult diversion and restorative justice program focused on healing and restoring balance.
Emergency Shelter
We help fill the gap in shelter capacity with intentions to purchase and operate spaces for emergency shelter and transitional housing in our region.
Cultural Outreach
We strive to restore our Lakota values and traditions as a vital and integral part of our identity and the healing process.
Street Outreach
We meet people where they are to offer human connection, emergency resources, and linkage to care when it is needed most.
Violence Prevention
We work on multiple levels through youth diversion and community initiatives to address the root causes of violence in a holistic way.
